I was nominated by Traci at New Adventures Ahead for the Blogger Recognition Award! This was such a surprise and made my day! It’s always exciting getting nominated and recognized by other bloggers for the work you put into your blog. The blogging community is a great network of people that are always building each other up and supporting each other. Recognition awards like this are just a small example of the continuous support.
Traci’s blog is a lifestyle and travel blog. She is a recent empty-nester and wants to share her new adventures into this next chapter of life. She loves traveling and helping people plan their travel. Check out her blog and send her some love while you’re there!
What is the Blogger Recognition Award?
The Blogger Recognition Award is an award from bloggers to bloggers. This award lets bloggers know that their hard work, long hours, and constant evolution of their content is not going unnoticed.

Why I Started Wandering Nobody
Honestly, it wasn’t in the plans. I started an Instagram one day so I could share my travel photos in a way that wasn’t annoying to all of my friends. Then the blog just kind of naturally followed. I was on summer break and needed something to fill the extra time that I had. I worked all summer on it and absolutely loved doing it. It took (still takes) a lot of trial and error to get the content focused on something that flowed naturally. Wandering Nobody focuses on Life. Travel. +Etc.
Life – This is the lifestyle part of my blog. Sometimes I’ll post content about ways to make travel easier, lists regarding travel, just life updates, or things I find interesting.
Travel – Stories and content directly related to places I’ve been fall under this category. Part of the way I plan for a trip is reading anything and everything I can about a destination and other people’s experiences. I figure there has to be someone else out there like that, so I hope it helps someone else!
+Etc. – I don’t want to be limited by only travel and life. Sometimes I’ll post reviews of subscriptions or products I try. Sometimes I’ll just post random shit that pops into my head. This part of my blog gives me the freedom to post whatever I feel like.

Advice For New Bloggers
Let it come naturally. If it’s a chore to get your content out, change up your style. Let yourself write for you first and then your readers next. Be selfish! If it’s a chore for you to write, it will come through in your writing. If it’s not working, try something else! You are the creator and only answer to yourself. Don’t feel guilty.
Connect with other bloggers. I’ve mentioned this so many times, but it’s true. The blogging community is the best. They support you, understand your struggles, and they will give you advice when you need it. Get on twitter, join message groups, subscribe to their blogs. But don’t be a passive supporter – you need to engage, too. Share their stories, answer their questions, have a conversation. You get what you give, but the return is a group of amazing people from countless walks of life with so many stories to share.
Ugh – this is always the hard part. Every blogger I interact with deserves this, but I have to narrow it down to 15. My nominations (in no particular order) are coming from some new bloggers I’ve come across recently through Twitter. Check out their websites and head over to their social media and show some love!
